AFRC appoints Mr Hui Leung-wah, Herbert as Honorary Adviser

The Accounting and Financial Reporting Council ( AFRC ) announces the appointment of Mr Hui Leung-wah, Herbert as an Honorary Adviser for a term of two years from 1 September 2023 to 31 August 2025.

 

Mr Hui is the Finance Director and a member of the executive directorate of MTR Corporation Limited. He has abundant experience in financial reporting at major listed companies. A chartered Financial Analyst, he has extensive corporate finance and investment banking experience. He is also a member of the Standing Committee on Disciplined Services Salaries and Conditions of Service of the HKSAR Government, the Chairman of its ICAC Sub-Committee, a non-official member of the Advisory Committee on Chinese Medicine Development Fund supervised by the Health Bureau, a director of HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital Company Limited and the Chairman of its Human Resources Committee.

 

Mr Marek Grabowski, CEO of the AFRC said, “We extend our warmest welcome to Mr Hui for joining the AFRC’s panel of Honorary Advisers (the Panel) which comprises 23 members. His wealth of experience in financial reporting and corporate finance is valuable for the AFRC to fulfil its regulatory objectives.”
