The AFRC welcomes the appointments of three new Convenors and seven new members, and one reappointment to the Financial Reporting Review Panel (FRRP) by the HKSAR Government today. The AFRC also expresses sincere appreciation to the two retiring Convenors and nine retiring members for their valuable contributions during their tenures.
The FRRP plays a vital role in upholding the quality of financial reporting in Hong Kong. Comprising experienced professionals from the accounting, auditing, and financial sectors, the FRRP ensures that listed entities comply with financial reporting requirements, thereby protecting investor interests and strengthening public trust in Hong Kong’s capital markets.
Ms Janey Lai, CEO of the AFRC said, “The appointments to the FRRP underscores our commitment to fostering trust and transparency in financial reporting. We look forward to working with the panel and drawing on their rich expertise to address current and emerging market challenges, and to safeguard public interest.”
Dr David Sun, Chairman of the AFRC, remarked, “We extend our deepest gratitude to the retiring members for their invaluable contributions.
