AFRC welcomes the Government’s appointments to the Process Review Panel

The Accounting Financial Reporting Council ( AFRC ) welcomes the Government’s reappointments to the Process Review Panel ( PRP ).
The PRP plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the AFRC discharges its functions in accordance with its internal procedures and guidelines. This is particularly important to the public as the AFRC performs its expanded statutory duties vested in it under the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council Ordinance ( AFRCO ), which involve new processes for its new functions.
Mr Marek Grabowski, CEO of the AFRC remarked, “The reviews conducted by the PRP have helped ensure that, in performing its statutory functions, the AFRC applies its processes consistently and fairly. The Panel’s recommendations are valuable to us in enhancing the efficiency of our work. We look forward to continuing working with the Chairperson Ms Edith Shih and other Members of the PRP.”
Dr Kelvin Wong, Chairman of the AFRC said, “The AFRC welcomes the reappointment of Ms Edith Shih as Chairperson and Mr Patrick Law Fu-yuen, Mr Andrew Mak Yipshing, Mr Frederick Tsang Sui-cheong, Professor Anna Wong Wai-kwan and Mr Yu Chung-leung as Members of PRP. The collective wisdom from the Panel has enhanced the process of our functions to ensure public interest is best protected.”
