FRC Welcomes the Government’s Appointment of Executive Director to the Board of the FRC

(6 December 2019, Hong Kong) The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) welcomes the Chief Executive’s appointment of Ms Florence Wong Wai-mei as the Executive Director to the Board of the FRC for a three-year term from December 6, 2019 to December 5, 2022. In addition, while the recruitment exercise of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the FRC is still in progress, Ms Wong will serve as the Acting CEO until further notice.

Ms Wong, who is currently the Head of Oversight, Policy and Governance, joined the FRC in June 2009 and worked as Senior Director of Investigation before taking up her current role since October 1, 2019.

Dr Kelvin Wong, Chairman of the FRC said: “Florence has accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise in the FRC for over 10 years. The board and I look forward to working closely with her in her new role at the Board.”
