FRC welcomes the Government’s vaccination leave initiative

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) welcomes the Government’s announcement on granting a day of vaccination leave for each dose to employees who receive COVID-19 vaccination.

In full support of the Government’s new vaccination initiative announced today, the FRC will, with effect from 1 June 2021, grant a one-day leave per dose to staff who get or got COVID-19 vaccination.

As a responsible statutory organisation, the FRC takes the health of our staff and the safety of our working environment as our priority concern. We have been promoting the use of the LeaveHomeSafe App among our staff. Since the launch of the COVID19 vaccination programme, the FRC has been encouraging its staff to get vaccinated as a measure to protect themselves as well as others at the workplace.

A safe working environment is pivotal to the discharge of our statutory functions effectively for public interest.
