财务汇报局(FRC)是根据财务汇报局条例(FRCO)于2006年12月1日成立的独立机构。 它被赋予了通过注册和认可制度,以及通过检查、调查和纪律处分来规范上市实体审计师的法定职责。 自2022年10月1日起,FRC将更名为会计及财务汇报局(AFRC),并承担显著增加的监管责任,监督香港会计师公会根据《会计及财务汇报局条例》规定的有关公共会计师的法定职能方面的表现。

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Case Officer in the review of designated cases by preparing correspondence with auditors/entities to obtain information, analyse information obtained and identify issues of misconduct, including practice or professional irregularity, and/or non-compliance with accounting requirements and preparing and handling correspondence and interviews with auditors or entity representatives to obtain information and explanations.

Role

Independently responsible for designated disciplinary cases and assists the Head of Discipline and Deputy Head/Director of Discipline in managing the disciplinary workload and meeting the objectives of the Discipline Department.  Working effectively in a matrixed environment and with tight timelines, individually or in a team, on complex cases.

  • Consolidates, analyses and considers all documentation and representations of cases referred to the Discipline Department.

  • Provide support to the financial statements review programme.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • At least two years of relevant working experience in accounting or auditing.
  • Experience in regulatory or professional bodies a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and result oriented.
  • Good command of both English and Chinese (written, spoken and typing skills).
  • Proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility, well-organised, able to work independently and handle multi-tasking and deadline oriented.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, in particular, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Chinese processing and strong document formatting skills.
